Your doctor will perform a physical exam and may conduct diagnostic tests to determine the extent of your injury and to rule out other, more serious conditions.

These tests may include:

  • Orthopedic Examination
  • X-rays
  • Computed tomography (CT) scan
  • Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)

Whiplash: When to Seek Care

October 28th, 2011

You should always consult your doctor if you have had an accident that is causing pain or stiffness in your neck, since these symptoms can be a sign of a more serious injury such as spinal cord damage. If you experience numbness, weakness, or a prickly sensation in your arms or hands following a neck injury, you should not attempt to treat these symptoms on your own.

Whiplash: Do symptoms occur right away?

October 24th, 2011

Symptoms of whiplash may not appear immediately. In fact, whiplash-related pain is often worse the days and weeks following the injury. In some cases, symptoms don’t show up until several days to weeks laterlater.

Lori B.- Spinal Decompression

May 7th, 2009

Hi, my name is Lori Baun and I live in Colville.  About the week before Memorial Day, I injured myself lifting a five-gallon bucket of paint improperly.  Went to my chiropractor multiple times, I went to my regular doctor, he had me go to a physical therapist.  Between the two of them, they had me have an MRI and that’s when we determined that I had my herniated disc.

My grandma gave me information about Raab Chiropractic and suggested that I look into it.  I got online, read information online about Spinal Aid and found a doctor in Spokane.

I feel better now than I have in a year.  I am able to lay on my back, I am able to lay on my stomach.  I’m feeling wonderful.

Christina H.- Spinal Decompression

It was hard to get up and down.  It was Painful to ride in a car.  I couldn’t pu my shoes on.  Any movement was painful.  The pain made me feel depressed and helpless.  I saw an ad in the Spokesman Review.  My experience at Raab Chiropractic was very pleasant, and the treatment was painless.  I found help for my problem.  At least give [Spinal Decompression] a try.
